'The Sun shone for Sussex but was blown away for Brighton'
A strange day it was in Southampton. Brighton came out to play only to be beaten by an Aussie Packed Southampton team. Yes that's right at one point Southampton imitated Arsenal and fielded no EU players. Rather detrimental to the game and development of Aussie Rules but some teams think that's the only way to win! However this didn't stop Brighton and at times they turned it on but turning it on for 5mins every quarter just isn't enough. Although to their credit Brighton was fielding a team who were only in their second season of Aussie Rules & tried hard but were not up to the opposition and truly beaten during the day. Some key injuries occurred and Minnsey went into the middle, he hadn't played there in years and showed he missed the haggling! Jordan on one leg battled from FB with the support of one finger Paddy and Missing a Rib Steve! A sad end to the days battle was with Andy shoulder deciding it wanted to face the other way! At that point with the scoreboard doing no justice the game was brought to an end.
Scorers: Brighton 3.4.22 Titans 36.27.243
Goals: 2 Bolwell, Fitzgerald

The sun decided to Shine and the Demons thought they were in with a shot of beating Sussex. However, they shouldn't have talked as much as they were Blown away by Sussex. An 9 goal First Qtr to 1 goal, shut the Demons up & instead of talking they should learn how to play! They weren't happy and decided the only way to beat Sussex were Head high tackles, behind the play sniggering and mouthing off! It shows you how much of a rabble they are and it couldn't be sweeter to ascertain revenge from last years GF. Sussex should have closed the game in the 2nd quarter but inaccurate kicking resulted in more hard work required. As the sun shone through Sussex became tired and complacent but continued the pressure. The sniggering continued but the old 'scoreboard' was mentioned numerous times and Sussex held their discipline. In the end the local Church would have raised a fortune if the Swear box was passed around the Demons and their supporters. A good effort by Sussex to win three in a row & cement their position at the top of the ladder.
Score: Sussex 23.23.161 def Demons 8.16.64
Goals: 6 Watson, 5 Rymer , 4 Hemus , 2 Lundon, Worthington, Ilyat Bolwell
Best: Watson, Mundin, Pratt, Lundon
